188 Websites were Blocked By PTA for Uploading Controversial Content

The Meeting which was held in Parliment house, Meeting organized by Syed Ali Raza Abidi. In the Meeting found that PTA Pakistan Telecommunication Authority banned 188 Website over controversial content. All the minister attend this meeting.

The meeting was attended by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, PTA and SCO. Many of MNA’s also attend this meeting, The MNA’s Includes  Mehar Ishtiaq Ahmad, Zahra Wadood Fatemi, Sardar Kamal Khan Chang, Amjid Ali Khan, Engineer Dawar Khan Kundi,  Shahjehan Muneer Mangrio and Muhammad Tufail.

According to the Reports, PTA has been received Around 9000 Applications for controversial material and has monitored more than 7,000 websites since then. It was Also mentioned in the meeting that the authority blocked around 3,025 sites on the recommendation of the IT ministry.

On the other hand, PTA Chairman, Syed Ismail Shah, revealed around 12,977URLs have been removed from Facebook. He also added that around 6000 complaints are under review out of which 350 have been blocked.It was also informed that around 500 mobile towers closed by security guards a few days back.
