Say No to Soft Drinks: Cold Drinks, Energy Drinks banned at Educational institutions of Punjab

Punjab Food Authority (PFA) banned Cold drinks and Energy drinks at School and Educational Institutions of Punjab.

All types of Energy drinks or cold drinks ban by the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) at educational institutions across Punjab from 14th August 2017. PFA also mention that the sellers will not even supply their drinks around 100 Meters of School and colleges.

The started from August 14th, PFA takes action against the violators and they will also face the strict action. The companies and suppliers will face the penalties of fines and punishment if they supply their drinks at educational institutions of Punjab.

PFA Director General Noorul Amin Mengal and all the Food safety officers imposed fine and punishment on companies and suppliers if they violate the rules. Amin Mengal also added that already 120 countries ban cold drinks and energy drinks across the world just because of effects on children’s health.

He further added that not the only USA and the United Kingdom ban in their countries, Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries also imposed the rules and banned soft drinks. Moreover, the rule implemented since 2006 in many countries.

The banned not only imposed at government educational institutes, private schools and colleges also imposed a ban on soft drinks and they also told him they also imposed a ban in all 300 branches across the country.
